I'm honoured and grateful to be among the brilliant musicians who played a part in this award winning record.
There are links, pictures, music and other stuff, so move around & feel at home.
Though I've been a band player for many years, I've put out mainly Christian music so far.
There's a lot in the pipeline, so visit more often.
I had the privilege to work on these records, and more importantly, the freedom to express myself. Loved the experience and waiting for more of this!
'My Earth Songs’ has been incorporated into textbooks for classes 2 to 8 of the ICSE stream by Macmillan Publications, and has reached to over 4 million children as of now!
If there's a lesson about ways to save water in EVS, chances are you'd find the lyrics of 'Catch the rain' - which is all about rainwater harvesting, in that textbook. If there's a lesson about marine life, you'll find 'In the Waterworld'. That's not all! There's a QR code that allows one to download the song free of cost.
In 2019, the album was nominated for the United Nations SDG Action Awards in Bonn, Germany, and made the top three. Now here's something that brought a wonderful sense of satisfaction to the writer side of me! One of the songs, 'Thinking Cap' is in the English textbook as a poem! As for the songwriter side, what a joy it was to find a post showing a group of schoolkids in Africa singing 'Give me your CO2', and another of children in Russia singing 'Something to live up to' as I was checking social media messages just before retiring for the night!
'Wild Karnataka' is the first of its kind documentary about the wildlife found in Karnataka state in India. This state has the richest biodiversity in the world and this film showcases a fine slice of that! Narrated in English by none other than the legendary Sir David Attenborough, it was screened in theatres last January, and is now being telecast on the Discovery channel too.
Two-time Grammy® Award winning artist Ricky Kej scored the background music, and I played bass guitar on this.
I had the honour and privilege of training and conducting the Chinmaya Mission Schools choir for a big concert in Chennai. The choir comprised of 306 students from grades 5-12 and this choir was part of 'Jhabhangadadash' - a live concert by two-time Grammy® Award winning artist Ricky Kej, to mark 50 years of the Chinmaya Mission education in India.
Joined the Bangalore Chorus on this one during the lockdown....peace to the world...one family during these trying times.
A short film with a twist. I scored music for this one
