I had the privilege to work on these records, and more importantly, the freedom to express myself. Loved the experience and waiting for more of this!
'My Earth Songs’ has been incorporated into textbooks for classes 2 to 8 of the ICSE stream by Macmillan Publications, and has reached to over 4 million children as of now!
If there's a lesson about ways to save water in EVS, chances are you'd find the lyrics of 'Catch the rain' - which is all about rainwater harvesting, in that textbook. If there's a lesson about marine life, you'll find 'In the Waterworld'. That's not all! There's a QR code that allows one to download the song free of cost.
In 2019, the album was nominated for the United Nations SDG Action Awards in Bonn, Germany, and made the top three. Now here's something that brought a wonderful sense of satisfaction to the writer side of me! One of the songs, 'Thinking Cap' is in the English textbook as a poem! 'Wild Karnataka' is the first of its kind documentary about the wildlife found in Karnataka state in India.
